Karen
Minnis-Guignard is a family focused, professional and fun loving person who
has discovered the magical world of creative writing. Karen is a Child &
Youth Worker Graduate who has worked for many years in the field of child
welfare and family support. She has worked with children since her early
teens and never tires of the angelic (and sometimes not so angelic) faces
she sees every day.
In her CYW career, she creates fact based life stories
for children, adult adoptees, birth and adoptive families, as well as,
essentially painting a picture of who they are and where they came from in
their young lives. It is most often and truly healing process she is
fortunate enough to be a part of. She also has the joy of creating and
writing newsletters with helpful information and inspirational stories for
her families.
Writing short stories and poems since her preteens, she has now entered into
the powerful world of paranormal romance writing. Earthbound in nature and
spiritually inclined, this married mother of one (who hopes to have one
more!) loves spending time at home with family, friends, her three dogs, one
cat and bunny rabbit! She loves writing her imaginative thoughts into
captivating love stories for all to enjoy. She loves movies, music,
springtime and especially fall; her favourite season is Harvest and
Halloween!
Karen aspires to create enchanting characters and story lines in books that
could be transformed into entertaining feature length films. She has
completed one paranormal romance set in modern times, and has already begun
a spin off that transforms into a historical/paranormal/romance trilogy,
with four additional titles to follow!
Her sister, Franny Armstrong, got her hooked on writing as a
pro, and now there's no stopping her! She also aspires to write about issues
that afflict children and families, as she has witnessed in her career, and
tell similar stories in a creative and powerful way. Karen truly believes
the right words can change the world. She hopes for peace, love and harmony
for all.
Her love of Celtic folklore and the paranormal inspires her to someday tour
Ireland, Scotland and England, especially the haunted castles and Inns, and
experience the chills one feels in those historic monuments! Karen believes
that everything and everyone has a purpose in life. Everything will unfold
exactly as it is meant to, regardless of what our perceptions are at the
time. There is a silver lining in every cloud and she enjoys discovering
that silver!
