Being an avid Billy Wirth fan
for years, since the day I saw him in "War Party", I have always wanted to
meet Billy. Earlier this year, I purchased the movie "MacArthur Park" that
Billy directed and was the driving force behind bringing this story to the
big screen, I was so incredibly moved after watching his commentary. So
moved in fact, he inspired me to begin writing. I completed "Wounded
Spirits" with the intention of presenting this script on FAS to Billy with
the hope and dream that Billy would be interested in not only reading this
script, but perhaps even help by becoming the voice to tell this story. Well, DREAMS DO COME TRUE! Opportunity presented itself. I discovered the Monster Mania event happening in New Jersey and made the 9 hour drive to meet Billy and the boys. I had the good fortune to meet Billy, Brooke and Chance. Each a pillar of kindness, receptive and thoughtful gentlemen that treated each and every fan who came to meet them with warm smiles and a genuine interest in shaking hands, signing autographs and taking pictures with their adoring fans. It was the greatest experience one could hope to have and I hope to go again! Thank goodness the Lost Boys are alive and well, and looking better than ever! |
